Cookie Policy

This cookie policy is intended to inform you of how we, Mobile Metrix Ireland Limited, a company registered in Ireland (“Digital Scorecard”), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (https://www.digitalscorecard.com/). To make this policy easier to read, we will refer to all these technologies as cookies, where not otherwise specified. We want to provide as much information as possible to you about the cookies, what the cookies do and why – so you can make an informed decision, whether you want to consent to cookies or not.

Please take a moment to read and understand our cookie policy. If you want to know more about how we process your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers on how to do overall settings for cookies.

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that the website you are visiting requests to download and save on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or other electronic device. The cookie technology allows the website to recognise your device and store some information about your preferences or previous actions and are used in numerous ways. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information on visitor behaviour to the owners of the site.

There are two different kinds of cookies – persistent cookies and session cookies. A persistent cookie remains on your device until its specific expiry date has passed (or until you delete cookies manually in your web browser). Session cookies are temporarily stored in a device’s memory during your visit to a website and will expire at the time you close your web browser.

Further, a cookie can be a so called ‘first-party’ or ‘third-party’ cookie and that refers to the website or domain that places the cookie. First-party cookies are set directly by our website. We also use third-party cookies, that are set by a domain other than our, since our website incorporates elements from services, such as Typeform.

Consent to set cookies

The use of cookies is regulated by the Directive on privacy and electronic communication (2002/58/EC) and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU/2016/679).

You have the option to consent for us to set cookies, per category of cookies or per individual cookie. This is easy to do through our cookie management plug-in on the website. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and our cookie manager will be available for you to change your settings.

There are two exceptions, where consent is not asked for or needed: Cookies that are essential to the communication and rendering of the website and cookies to provide an online service on your request, for example language selections, will always be used. We call these cookies Strictly Necessary cookies.

Which different types of cookies we use and why

Strictly Necessary cookies

Cookies necessary for transmitting information to you, either as part of the communication standard or after you specifically request an optional functionality, such as changing what language is used, are so called Strictly Necessary cookies. The website and/or the requested functions simply will not function without them, which is why they are not optional and will always be used.

Analytics cookies to optimize our website

We use Analytics cookies from providers that help us measure how our website is used, such as Google Analytics, which helps us improve our website by reacting to how it is used. The data we collect includes what region you are visiting from, as well as what device, operating system and internet service provider you use, how many visits you have made to our website and what specific web pages, what links you have clicked on and what actions you have taken (e.g. submission of an inquiry form).

Functional cookies

Some cookies are used to enhance functions on our website or to help us communicate with you. We call these Functional cookies. Examples are reCAPTCHA cookies that help us confirm that a human being is sending us information rather than a web-bot or malicious program.
